"You're Intimidated/Threatened By a Strong Woman"

Heh heh.  I've written about this before.  "You're Intimidated By X"  "x" being a group of things like "a woman who makes more than you" or "a strong woman" or "a tall woman" etc. etc.  Or the accusation you're somehow "threatened" by a strong woman/rich woman/tall woman.

But it's nice to see other people say the same thing confirming what we all know to be true.

I hate the idea that men are intimidated by strong women. For one thing, it's insulting to the women who *can* get men.

Secondly, I don't think I've ever met a straight man who wanted to marry/date a weak woman who needed her hand held all the time. They might have strong ideas about the proper role of women (don't like it? You don't have to date them) but they do like a woman who can hold her own.

What *does* drive men away is being a shrew who regards any pushback to her behaviour as a man being unable to handle her "strength". It's the ultimate defence mechanism - you don't need to change at ALL because any problems he has with you are all down to him being weak. That's what a man hears when a woman says that "men are intimidated by strong women", and they will run a mile.

No, we simply turn our backs in disgust (like we haven't heard that silly, vacuous drivel before?) and Go Our Own Way.
